I’ve had plantar fasciitis on and off for the last 10 years. I won’t kid you—as a lifelong shoe lover, it has definitely changed the way I shop and style my footwear. Long gone are the days of my stilettos and 3 ½-inch heeled boots, when I planned my outfits around the cute new pair I couldn’t wait to wear for a fun day out.
These days, comfort and support come first. With plantar fasciitis, it’s so important to find that balance between style and function. I’ve tested nearly all of the specialty brands geared toward women with foot issues—some worked beautifully, others not so much. Over time, I’ve narrowed it down to a handful of brands and shoe styles that really help manage my plantar fasciitis while still keeping me stylish and confident.
